Lockdown advice is changing:

Subject to no last minute change from the government British Cycling have advised me that from the 29th March the group riding advice is changing. Groups can be up to 15 subject to social distancing guidelines of keeping at least one metre apart. This does mean that our Sunday clubruns can restart but please keep social distance guidelines at any meeting point.

At this stage both Ian Jarvis and myself have decided not to partake in any group rides until we have both received our second vaccinations and more members of the public have been vaccinated.

Furthermore we should be able to hold our first 10 on 13th April . To avoid parking on the course signing on will be at the Henhurst Club car park . Riders are required to have the correct entry fee of £4 and their own pen for the signing. They must attach and remove their number without assistance. The start will be in the usual place and a pathway has been created which will be used by riders waiting to start. waiting on the road at the start will not be allowed. Riders will start with a foot down as there will not a a pusher off. Please note that there are significant potholes on the first left turn near the golf driving range. The highways authority have been advised but I would strongly recommend that anyone considering riding has a look at the obstacles before starting.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 13th – if you need a warm up the South Pennine events at Sudbury start on the 8th April.

Regards

Tony
