Cyclists are high on my list to try and reach because, as you know, just the cycling position itself can cause issues with the lumbar spine and posture. Specific yoga poses are perfect to help achieve the ‘flat back’ posture, providing greater protection from pain and injury and also improving strength and flexibility.
Learning to control breathing can also aid an athlete’s performance, as the breath, as a performance tool, is consistently undervalued: breath control is an integral part of yoga.
