Mercia CC- Lloyds CC recently promoted a 30mile Open Time Trial on the A50. The course was revised from previous events due to road works at Uttoxeter but most people agreed that it did not deter from the event. A dry, warm but blustery day, greeted the riders on the course which had been measured by Jeff Bowler from SPRC. Thanks also go to all marshals, time keepers and helpers. 3 trikes, 3 tandems and 55 solos entered and the event winner was David Langlands (Team Bottrill) 57.34. Other riders/winners were 1st Lady Karen Ledger (TeamBottrill) 1.04.21. 1st Trike Andy Newham ((Lincoln Wheelers) 1.10.19.

Tandem pairing, Becky& Howard Lewis (Mid-Shropshire Wheelers) broke National Competition Record for 30 miles on a mixed tandem with an incredible 58.51! A time which will surely attract others riders to the course.
