Mercia HBM CC Cyclo Cross Report
Mercia HBM CC staged Round 3 of the West Midlands Cyclo-cross League at Rosliston Forestry Centre on Sunday 27 September.A total of 309 riders tackled the courses in the different events of Junior, Ladies, Veterans and Seniors including 88 in the Under 12 event and 42 in the Youth event. Organiser Keith Lee did a superb job of putting on a first class event helped by many club members. Thanks also go to the Commissaires and helpers from the League, Rosliston Forestry Centre, Sheffield Cycles, Phillip's the Florists and our club sponsor Howard Bond of H.B. Management and Construction Services Limited for their support.
With no rain in the month the conditions were dry underneath leading to fast races. The full results can be seen on the League's website HERE
There have been a few questions as to where the entry fees go to. The majority is paid out in British Cycling National and Area Levies and the prize fund (39 different prizes). After event expenses less than 5% goes towards club funds.
