Richard Knott in Triathlon Comeback
Richard Knott made his long awaited comeback from injury in the Derby TriathlonOne of our longstanding riders, Richard has been out of action since November 2008 with a back problem and in February tore the posterior cruciate knee ligament in his right knee. Richard has now been training since the start of August and decided to make his competitive comeback in the Derby Triathlon held in Etwall on Sunday 13th September.
The triathlon demanded a 400m swim, 18k bike leg and 5k run. Richard beat his target time of 1:20:00 by finishing in 1:18:22 and recording 13:30 for the swim and transition 1, 39:00 for the bike and transition 2 and 25:52 for the run.
Richard wants those that have missed him this season to know that he'll be back to beat them next season. ;-)
