Joshua Waters wins his first Road Race at Mallory Park & another big turn out in the Evening Time TrialAfter the disappointment of a jammed back wheel at Darley Moor, denying him first place. Joshua Waters made up for it with his first win in the 10 kilometre race at Mallory Park for the under 12 boys, despite being under geared compared with the other competitors.
There was another good turn out of 26 riders for the second 5 mile evening time trial. In windy conditions Sean Sleigh (Plan B) was the fastest in 12 11. 2nd was David Clarke (Pendragon Kalas) 12 40, & 3rd fastest was Christian Aucote (Yeti Factory Racing) 12 45, 4th fastest was the first Mercia HBM rider Phil Machin 13 06. The rest of the other times were as follows: Daniel Partington (Plan B) 13 12, Steve Herriman (Meynell Valley Hunters Triathlon Club) 13 16, Alistair Staley (Plan B) 13 22, Carl Robinson (Meynell Valley Hunters Triathlon Club) 13 35, Simon Parker 13 45, Jack Hugill 14 05, Jeff Slinn 14 12, Phil Jones 14 15, Steve Plummer 14 16, Mark Ward 14 18, Mick Scivington (Plan B) 14 18, Jeff Lea 14 24, Neil Sleigh (Plan B) 14 29, Mark Eccleston 14 32, Ben Startin 14 50, John Frowd ( Derby Triathlon Club) 15 10, Colin Johnson 15 33, Ann Staley ( Plan B) 15 34, Adrian Waters 15 47, Keiron Patterson 16 14, Andy Burton 16 52, & Peter Rose 24 29 (including 6 minutes lost due to a puncture)
