Prize presentation 7 February 2009

The annual buffet dinner and prize presentation was held at the Castle Hotel, Hatton. Our guest of Honour was Mark Sheffield of Sheffield Cycles in Burton. Mark spoke about his early days when he joined the club and how he progressed with helpful advice from senior members and better equipment. Mark was keen to see more youth take up cycling and spoke about the club's successful Cyclo Cross at Rosliston Forestry Centre as a way forward. Indeed Mark contributes to the Under 12's event with donated prizes. It was fitting that there were three youth awards at the presentation to Bailey Waters, Elliot Waters and Joshua Waters and the full list of prize winners is as follows:

SIMON PARKER Senior Hillclimb Champion Joint 1st in Anniversary Championship for Hillclimbing & Freewheeling 1st on handicap in Club Championship 25, 3rd fastest in Club Championship 25, Senior Clubruns & Most improved rider.
