David Clarke records fastest time evening time trial and the Waters brothers race at CurboroughDavid Clarke was the fastest rider in the Mercia HBM 10 mile evening time trial, when he finished in 22min 59 seconds. Sean Sleigh ( Plan B ) was again second in 23 56, Kieran Frend ( KFS Special Vehicles ) was 3rd in 24 26, Steve Plummer was the fastest Mercia HBM rider in 24 50, one second behind him was Noel Adams in 24 51. The rest of the times were as follows Richard Knott 25 27, Lee Rich ( Plan B ) 25 58, Daniel Partington ( Plan B ) 27 12, Mick Skivington ( Plan B ) 27 22, Simon Parker 27 27, Alec Taylor 28 08, Ivor James 28 47, Jeff Slinn 29 30, Adrian Waters 30 27, Neil Sleigh ( Plan B ) 32 41 & at one lap Dave Peters 17 47.
The Waters brothers' most recent races were on the sprint circuit at Curborough organised by Lichfield City Cycling Club. In the 2km time trial for the under eights Elliott was 4th. He was also 4th in the 5km criterium which followed.
In the under ten boys 2km time trial Joshua was 6th & Bailey was 10th in the two 8 Km criteriums they finished 5th & 9th respectively in both races. They competed against 40 riders in both races.
