Mercia H.B.M C.C evening time-trial
A cold windy evening didn’t stop riders improving on their previous weeks times in the latest Tuesday evening time-trial. Plan B’s Sean Sleigh was again the fastest rider in 24:25. Mercia H.B.M riders were separated by only a second for 2nd & 3rd places. Gary Brown timed 25:10, Keith Staley timed 25:11. The rest of the riders times were: Alex. Taylor 26:42, Simon Parker 26:53, Mick Skivington (Plan B) 26:57, Phil Jones 27:14, Ivor James 27:21, Paul Taylor 27:44, Jeff. Lea 27:44, Ann Staley (Plan B) 28:40, Nick Marriott 29:13, Adrian Waters 30:59, Tony Marlow 32:21, Pete Rose 34:44, Stan Crofts 35:37, and at 1 lap Dave Peters 16:34.

Mercia H.B.M C.C evening time-trial
Fourteen riders entered the latest 10 mile evening time-trial on the Anslow circuit. The fastest was track rider Sam Freeman now riding for Team KLS in 23:59. In second place was Louis Cowley (Plan B) 24:40 & in 3rd place was Kieran Frend (C.C. Giro) in 24:49. Keith Staley was the fastest Mercia H.B.M rider in 4th place timing 25:11. The rest of the times were Gary Brown 25:48, Phil. Jones 26:51, Simon Parker 27:17, Mark Eccleston 27:37, Jeff. Lea 28:03, James Franklin (Lichfield City) 29:38, Adrian Waters 30:08, Tony Marlow 31:16, Peter Rose 35:07, and at 1 lap Dave Peters 17:02.

Stone Wheelers 25 mile open time-trial
The last two open events have been 25 mile time-trials, which saw Mercia H.B.M riders competing in. The first was the Stone Wheelers event on the Blyth Bridge-Sudbury course, where Pete & Rob Beddows finished in second place in the Tandem event with a time of 54:46. The fastest team was Gary Kondor & Andy Plumb (Team Swift) in 52:04. In the solo event Keith Staley was only two seconds off getting under the hour in 1:00:01. The fastest solo rider was Andy Proffitt (Arctic-Shorter Rochford) in 52:19.
