Clubrun Sunday 26th February

The runs will start at 10 AM for th2 62 mile route and 10.15 for the 32 mile route from the Henhurst Club. There are two route options, 62 or 32 miles and there will be a charge of £3 but after your ride tea or coffee and home made cakes will be free.  We are inviting members of all local clubs to join us on these rides to remember the runs organised previously by the Plan B team.

The routes are as follows:-

62 mile ‘Four Counties’

From the Henhurst club join the main road and turn right to the Acorn Inn

0.60:   turn left and go through Tatenhill to Barton u Needwood

4.50: In Barton turn left and proceed to Walton on Trent

6.40: In Walton turn right through Catton Park

10.00: At T junction turn right

10.60: At traffic island turn left across Sittle’s farm on a narrow road

13.80: turn left at junction and go through Whittington

15.20: Turn left in Whittington

17.90: At main road turn right then left in 400 yards S/p  to Harlaston

19.60: Turn right at T junction S/P Tamworth

22.10: In Wigginton, over hill and past the pub turn left into Syerscote Lane ( narrow with gates)

25.80: Turn right at T junction

26.50: Turn right before the church on the hill

26.80: At X roads go straight across S/P Thorpe Constantine

28.90: At main road straight across S/P Seckington

29.90: At X roads  straight across S/P Polesworth

30.90: turn left at T Junction – note give way

32.50: Straight across at X roads S/P Grendon/Atherstone

34.40: turn left at T junction onto B5000 S/P Atherstone

35.40: turn left in Pinwall S/P Twycross B4116

39.20: turn left onto A444 S/P Burton on Trent and proceed past Twycross Zoo

40.80: turn left into minor road S/P Orton on the Hill

42.30 turn right S/P Austrey

44.00 in Austery go straight across into No Mans Heath Lane

45.50: At main road in No Mans Heath turn right and then immediately turn left through Chilcote to Netherseal

48.30: Turn left S/P Overseal

49.50: Over the top of Gunby hill turn left S/P Grangewood and proceed to Coton in the Elms

52.20: turn right S/P Rosliston

52.90: turn left at painted traffic island

53.50 through Rosliston turn left S/P Walton on Trent

55.50: In Walton turn left and then immediately right to Barton u Needwood retracing the outward route

57.40: In Barton at the church turn right and proceed through Tatenhill to the Acorn Inn

61.30: turn right at the Acorn Inn and return to the Henhurst Club for refreshments

The 32 miles ‘ Ridwares’ route

From the Henhurst  Club join the main road and turn right to the Acorn Inn

Miles

0.60 At the Acorn inn  turn left and proceed to Barton U Needwood

4.50: In Barton turn left and proceed to Walton on Trent

6.40: In Walton turn right and proceed through Catton park

10.00: At T junction turn right

10.60: turn left at traffic island across Sittles  farm to follow route 54 and turn right at a white field gate and proceed across a level crossing

12.40: turn right S/P Burton/Fradley and proceed to T junction in Fradley

13.00: turn left at T S/P Kings Bromley , take the second exit at a traffic island and cross the canal at Fradley  continuing to a T junction

15.30: at T junction turn left S/P Kings Bromley to turn left at the T junction onto the A515 towards Lichfield

17.50: turn right onto B5014 S/P Rugeley

19.20: turn right at T S/P Abbotts Bromley and in half mile turn right S/P Pipe Ridware

go through Pipe Ridware to Hamstall Ridware

21.60: In Hamstall Riodware turn right S/P Morrey/Yoxall

22.90: turn left with care into Morrey Lane before the farm buildings

23.90: after a left hand bend turn right S/P Dunstall

24.40: At junction take the second left S/P Newborough and go past the Meyell Ingram pub

26.40: At top of rise turn right into Dolesfoot lane and proceed to the give way on the A515, go straight across and in 400 yards turn right at T onto B 5017. Go towards Burton,past St Georges Park to the traffic island at the New Inn, take the third exit and proceed past the Acorn Inn back to the Henhurst Club for refreshments
